Chicken
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
Honey Butter Sauce
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce optional
- ½ tsp chili flakes optional
Optional Garnish
- chopped parsley
- sesame seeds
- sliced green onions
Prepare the chicken
Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss them with cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
Add oil
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and mix well so the coating sticks.
Preheat the air fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3 minutes.
Cook the chicken
Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the honey butter sauce
While the chicken cooks, melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in honey and soy sauce and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Coat the chicken
Transfer cooked chicken to a large bowl. Pour the warm honey butter sauce over the chicken and toss until evenly coated.
Garnish and serve
Sprinkle with parsley, sesame seeds, or green onions if desired. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.
