  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed
  • 4 oz goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning

  • ¼ cup caramelized onions

Instructions  

  • Preheat the Oven
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Puff Pastry
  • Roll out the puff pastry slightly and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges without cutting all the way through.
  • Make the Cheese Mixture
  • In a bowl, mix together goat cheese, cream cheese (or yogurt), garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs until smooth.
  • Assemble the Tart
  • Spread the cheese mixture evenly inside the border.
  • Arrange asparagus on top in a single layer.
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Bake
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the pastry is golden and puffed and the asparagus is tender.
  • Serve
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  • Top with lemon zest, parmesan, or herbs if desired. Slice and serve warm.
