Ingredients

For the Crescent Rolls

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough 8-count each
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mixed berries blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Optional Toppings

  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Lemon glaze powdered sugar + lemon juice
  • Coarse sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Filling

  • In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Prepare the Crescent Dough

  • Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Lay them flat on a clean surface.

Step 4: Add the Filling

  • Spread a spoonful of cream cheese filling on the wide end of each triangle. Add a few berries on top of the cream cheese.

Step 5: Roll and Shape

  • Starting at the wide end, roll up each triangle toward the tip, tucking in the sides slightly to keep the filling inside.

Step 6: Egg Wash

  • Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Step 7: Bake

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Step 8: Finish and Serve

  • Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with lemon glaze. Serve warm.

Notes

📝 Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest filling texture.
  • Fresh or frozen berries both work; thaw and drain frozen berries first.
  • Add a little powdered sugar and vanilla to sweeten the cream cheese filling.
  • Seal the crescent roll edges well to prevent the filling from leaking out.
  • Brush with egg wash or melted butter for a golden, glossy finish.
  • Sprinkle with coarse sugar or drizzle icing after baking for extra sweetness.
  • Serve warm for the best flaky and creamy texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven to re-crisp.
