  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional Toppings

  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

6. Finish roasting

  • Roast for another 10–15 minutes until the edges are golden brown and crispy.

7. Garnish and serve

  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with parsley, parmesan cheese, or chili flakes. Serve with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

📝 Notes

  • Choose a Large Cauliflower: A large, firm head of cauliflower makes it easier to cut thick steaks that hold together while roasting.
  • Slice Carefully: Cut the cauliflower from the center into ¾–1 inch thick steaks so they stay intact during baking.
  • Season Generously: Olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper help create a flavorful crispy crust.
  • High Heat: Roast at a high temperature (around 425°F / 220°C) to achieve crispy, golden edges.
  • Flip Halfway: Turn the cauliflower steaks halfway through cooking to ensure even browning on both sides.
  • Add Cheese: Sprinkle parmesan cheese during the last few minutes of baking for extra flavor and crispiness.
  • Serving Ideas: Serve with a drizzle of tahini sauce, chimichurri, or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
