  • 2 –3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Regular or light mayo.
  • 1 tbsp Dijon or yellow mustard optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional Add Ins:

  • 4 –6 slices cooked bacon
  • Sliced cheese Swiss, provolone, or cheddar
  • Red onion slices
  • Cucumber slices

Instructions  

Step 1: Toast the Bread

  • Toast the bread slices until lightly golden and crisp. Let cool slightly before assembling to avoid wilting the lettuce.

Step 2: Prepare the Avocado

  • Slice the avocado or mash it lightly with a pinch of salt and pepper. A little seasoning brings out its flavor.

Step 3: Spread the Condiments

  • Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice. Add mustard if using.
