Ingredients

Steak

  • 1 pound ribeye sirloin, or filet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Garlic Butter Mix

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley dill, or thyme

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Steak

  • Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel. Season them evenly with salt and pepper. Dry steak sears better and develops a crust.

Step 2: Heat the Pan

  • Add olive oil to a large skillet. Heat it on medium-high until shimmering.

Step 3: Sear the Steak

  • Add steak cubes in a single layer. Don’t crowd the pan. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Work in batches if needed.

Step 4: Add Garlic and Butter

  • Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, and herbs. Toss steak cubes in the melted butter for 1–2 minutes. Garlic should be fragrant but not burnt.

Step 5: Finish and Serve

  • Remove steak from pan. Sprinkle Parmesan or extra herbs if desired. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
