Ingredients

Sorbet Base

  • 2 cups ripe mango chunks fresh or frozen
  • cups fresh strawberries hulled
  • ¼ cup sugar honey, or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon lime zest
  • ¼ cup water

Optional Garnishes

  • fresh strawberry slices
  • mango cubes
  • mint leaves
  • coconut flakes

Instructions

1. Prepare the Fruit

  • Peel and chop mango into chunks if using fresh mango.
  • Wash strawberries and remove the stems.

2. Blend the Ingredients

  • Add mango, strawberries, sugar (or honey), lime juice, lime zest, and water to a blender or food processor.
  • Blend until the mixture is completely smooth.

3. Chill the Mixture

  • Pour the fruit puree into a bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • This helps the sorbet freeze more evenly.

4. Freeze the Sorbet

  • Transfer the mixture to a shallow freezer-safe container and place in the freezer.

5. Stir During Freezing

  • Every 30 minutes, remove the container and stir the sorbet with a fork to break up ice crystals.
  • Repeat for about 2–3 hours until the sorbet becomes smooth and scoopable

6. Serve

  • Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
  • Serve in bowls or glasses and garnish with fresh fruit or mint leaves.
