Ingredients
  

  • Salmon fillets 4 pieces, about 6 oz each – wild-caught preferred
  • Maple syrup real maple for the best flavor
  • Bourbon whiskey adds depth and smokiness
  • Soy sauce for umami and balance
  • Garlic minced, for savory notes
  • Dijon mustard adds a tangy kick
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds chopped green onions, or lemon wedges

Instructions  

  • Make the glaze In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and garlic.
  • Prep the salmon Pat salmon fillets dry, then brush generously with the glaze. Let sit for 10 minutes to absorb flavor.
  • Cook the salmon Sear salmon in a skillet with olive oil or bake in a preheated oven (400°F) for 12–15 minutes until flaky.
  • Glaze & serve Brush with extra glaze, sprinkle with sesame seeds or green onions, and serve warm.
