Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate for coating
  • Cocoa powder powdered sugar, or finely chopped nuts (optional, for rolling)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Nutella Mixture

  • In a medium bowl, combine Nutella, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until fully smooth and glossy.

Step 2: Chill the Mixture

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm enough to scoop and roll. Chilling is essential to make clean, uniform truffles.

Step 3: Form the Truffles

  • Use a small cookie scoop or teaspoon to portion out the chilled mixture. Roll each portion into a smooth ball using your hands. Work quickly if your hands are warm to prevent melting.

Step 4: Prepare the Coating

  • Melt chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or in short intervals in the microwave, stirring until smooth.

Step 5: Coat the Truffles

  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing on a parchment-lined tray. Roll some in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or chopped nuts if desired.

Step 6: Chill Again

  • Refrigerate the coated truffles for at least 30 minutes to set completely. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
