  • ½ teaspoon lime zest
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 tablespoon honey if fruit isn’t very sweet
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare the Fruit

  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
  • Remove the stems and dice them into small pieces.
  • Peel and dice the pineapple into similar-sized cubes.
  • Uniform pieces help the salsa mix evenly.

2. Chop the Vegetables

  • Finely chop the red onion and jalapeño.
  • If you prefer mild salsa, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeño before chopping.

3. Combine Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, add:
  • strawberries
  • pineapple
  • red onion
  • jalapeño
  • chopped cilantro

4. Add the Dressing

  • Pour in:
  • lime juice
  • lime zest
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • Stir gently until everything is evenly mixed.

5. Let the Salsa Rest

  • Allow the salsa to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
  • This allows the flavors to blend together.
